Having bought a VW Jetta about a year ago, I am very satisfied with Spencer Auto's service, affordable pricing, and trustworthiness. Don Spencer (the owner) was very friendly, fixed my car up great, and didn't charge me very much. I would highly recommend him and his business.

First a crystal clear explanation of all repairs needed, then the repairs completed quickly and on time and less than the estimate. I have never had such a good experience with a car repair before and I will be bnnging my vehicles here from know on and I recommend this shop to anyone looking for honest, quality, dependable, auto repair.

This auto shop was amazing. Mr Spencer was extremely fast and efficient. I had to get my car towed to his shop and it got there at 4:30 pm and they were closing at 5pm so I figured that he wasn’t going to touch it until the next day. I was completely wrong. He looked at my car, figured out the problem right away. He didn’t have the right part so he drove to go get a similar part and he customized the part. He also stayed open an hour late so I could have my car that night and not have to try to find someone to give me a lift home. He was extremely nice and gave me the best price I could find in all of Chico. Also his waiting room is very comfortable. It has video games and movies for children plus free soda, coffee, hot cocoa, and water. It was the best experience I have had at an auto shop.

Spencer Automotive is the place to go! Don has always treated me with respect and takes care of my car! I’ve never walked in to that place without a water or coffee offered to me. Plus, the waiting room has free wifi. I have and will take my car back to Spencer Auto!

I've known Don for a good number of years now but never knew what a great mechanic he is. I came to him today and he made time for me right away, which was very helpful. He diagnosed my lighting trouble right away and had me back on the road and safe very quickly. His pricing is very reasonable too. Don's great at helping me understand what needs to get fixed now and what can wait. I don't always have a lot to spend on repair, so Don helps keeps me safe and the car going knowing the kind of budget I operate on. Have had Don service all of our cars. He does a great job. Oil changes done while you wait! He's honest, fair and takes time to explain what needs doing. He even set us up with a list of things we'd want to get done in order of importance so we can be safe and stay on our budget. Don comes with my highest recommendation!
